Airports Authority of India, Chennai is inviting applications for Junior/Senior Assistant posts at various airports in Southern Region. Candidates from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry and Lakshadweep can apply.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Test, Computer Literacy Test, Physical Measurement/Endurance Test, Driven Test. Candidates age should be between 18 to 30 years as on 20.12.2023. Maximum age relaxation is 5 years for SC/STs, 3 years for OBCs, Ex-Servicemen, 10-15 years relaxation for AAI employees, PwD depending on the category.
Application fee for Un-reserved, OBC, EWS candidates is Rs.1000. Women, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PWD, AAI candidates who have completed one year apprenticeship training will be exempted from fee. The educational qualifications and selection procedures are different depending on the posts.
1. Junior Assistant (Fire Services): 73 Vacancies. 10th standard, three years regular mechanical/ automobile/ fire diploma pass. or pass intermediate. These posts are allotted to ex-servicemen candidates under special recruitment drive.
‣ Must have Heavy Vehicle Driving License/ Medium Vehicle Driving License from one year prior to this job advertisement. Or should have light vehicle driving license for two years prior to this job advertisement. Temporary and learning licenses are not allowed. ) Candidates should not have vision and hearing problems. ) height of male candidates is 167 cm. should be Chest 81 cm. 5 cm when breathing. should grow Weight should be 55 kg.
‣ Height of female candidates should be 157 cm and weight should not be less than 45 kg.
Selection: Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted in Stage-1. Duration is 2 hours. In this, UR/EWS/OBC candidates should secure 50% marks and SC/ST candidates should secure 40% marks.
‣ In Part-1 50 percent questions will be from Basic Mathematics, Basic Science, Elementary English/Grammar. The question paper will be of 10th class level.
‣ In Part-B 50 percent questions will be asked from General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude and English. Questions will be of 12th class level.
Stage-2: Scrutiny of certificates and medical examination will be conducted for candidates who have cleared CBT. If passed in this, driving and physical endurance tests will be conducted.
Physical Endurance Test: This includes 100m running, rope, pole climbing, 60m running with a human dummy and ladder climbing. 20 marks for each test.
2. Junior Assistant (Office): 2 Posts. Degree must be passed.
Selection: Computer based written test will be of 100 marks. Duration is 2 hours. Computer Literacy Test will be conducted in MS-Office for the candidates who have passed the written test.
‣ 50 percent questions will be related to qualification subjects.
‣ General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude, 50 percent questions will be asked in English.
‣ These posts are reserved for disabled persons. They should secure minimum 40% marks in CBT.
3. Senior Assistant (Electronics): 25 Vacancies. Diploma in Electronics/ Telecom/ Radio Engineering with two years work experience in relevant discipline.
Selection: Computer based written test will be of 100 marks. Duration is 2 hours.
‣ 70 percent questions will be asked from subjects related to educational qualifications.
‣ 30 percent questions will be given from General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude and English. UR/EWS/OBC candidates should secure 50% marks and SC, ST, PWD candidates should secure 40% marks.
4. Senior Assistant (Accounts): 19 Posts. BCom pass.. Must have two years work experience. Should have knowledge in preparation of financial statements, taxation, audit, finance, accounts.
Option: 100 Marks for Computer Based Written Test. Duration is 2 hours. There is a computer literacy test in MS-Office. A Computer Literacy Test will be conducted for those who qualify in CBT. It is only qualifying test. Final selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in CBT.
‣ 70 percent questions will be given from subjects related to educational qualifications.
‣ 30 percent questions will be asked from General Knowledge, General Intelligence, General Aptitude and English.
‣ UR/EWS/OBC candidates should score 50% and SC, ST, PWD candidates should score 40%.
preparation
Revise the main points of the subjects. Try to stick to the subjects studied earlier without neglecting them.
‣ Practice old question papers of competitive exams for GK, General Intelligence, General Aptitude, English.
‣ Writing mock tests available online is also beneficial.
‣ No negative marks. So first write the answers to the known questions.. and then think a little and write the answers to the unknown questions.
‣ Practice writing answers within the time limit.
