కర్ణాటక ప్రభుత్వ కోటా స్థానాల కోసం వృత్తి విద్య సంస్థల్లో ప్రవేశానికి సంబంధించిన అభ్యర్థులను ఎంపిక చేసే కర్ణాటక నియమాల ప్రకారం, కర్ణాటక పరీక్షా prాధికారణ (KEA) 2025 సంవత్సరానికి సంబంధించిన "సాధారణ ప్రవేశ పరీక్ష-2025" కోసం అర్హులైన కర్ణాటక అభ్యర్థుల నుంచి దరఖాస్తులు కోరుతోంది. ఈ పరీక్ష ద్వారా అభ్యర్థుల అర్హత / మెరిట్ నిర్ణయించబడుతుంది, తద్వారా ఇంజినీరింగ్, టెక్నాలజీ, నేచురోపతి & యోగా, బి. ఫార్మా, 2వ సంవత్సర బి.ఫార్మా, ఫార్మా-డీ, వ్యవసాయ కోర్సులు (ఫార్మ్ సైన్స్), పశువైద్య, బి.సి. Nursing వంటి కోర్సులలో ప్రభుత్వ / విశ్వవిద్యాలయ / ప్రైవేట్ సహాయక / ప్రైవేట్ సహాయ లేని వృత్తి విద్య సంస్థల్లో ప్రవేశం పొందవచ్చు.
కర్ణాటక ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించిన సీట్ల విభజన ప్రకారం, ఈ కోర్సులకు ప్రవేశం పొందడానికి అభ్యర్థి CET-2025లో నమోదు చేసుకోవాలి, ఆన్‌లైన్ ద్వారా దరఖాస్తు ఫారం నింపాలి, దరఖాస్తు ఫీజు చెల్లించాలి, ప్రవేశ పత్రం డౌన్‌లోడ్ చేసుకోవాలి మరియు KEA నిర్వహించే సాధారణ ప్రవేశ పరీక్షలో హాజరయ్యే బాధ్యత ఉంటుంది. ఆన్‌లైన్ దరఖాస్తు ప్రాసెస్ అనేది దరఖాస్తు-cum-నిర్ధారణ మాడ్యూల్‌గా ఉంటుంది, అందువల్ల అభ్యర్థులు అన్ని వివరాలను జాగ్రత్తగా నింపాలని సూచించబడింది. దరఖాస్తు సబ్మిట్ చేసిన తర్వాత, అభ్యర్థుల "క్లెయిమ్ సర్టిఫికేట్" వివరాలు దరఖాస్తు ఫారంలో ప్రింట్ అవుతాయి.
క్లెయిమ్ సర్టిఫికేట్‌లో "సక్సెస్‌ఫుల్‌గా వేరిఫైడ్" అని ప్రింట్ అయితే, అలాంటి అభ్యర్థులకు ఎటువంటి కాలేజీ/ఆఫీసు సందర్శించడం అవసరం లేదు. వేరిఫికేషన్ స్లిప్ ను KEA వెబ్‌సైట్ నుండి డౌన్‌లోడ్ చేసుకోవచ్చు (CET ఫలితాలు ప్రకటించాక).
క్లెయిమ్ సర్టిఫికేట్‌లో "క్లెయిమ్డ్ వేరిఫైడ్" లేదా "క్లెయిమ్డ్ నాట్ వేరిఫైడ్" లేదా "నాట్ క్లెయిమ్డ్" అని ప్రింట్ అయితే, అలాంటి అభ్యర్థులు CET-2025 దరఖాస్తు ఫారాన్ని మరియు సంబంధిత ఒరిజినల్ డాక్యుమెంట్లను తమ విద్యాధికారుల వద్ద సమర్పించాలి. కాలేజ్ అధికారి ఒరిజినల్స్‌ను వేరిఫై చేసి, డిటైల్‌లు పోర్టల్ ద్వారా అనుమతిస్తారు. వేరిఫికేషన్ స్లిప్‌ను KEA వెబ్‌సైట్‌లో డౌన్లోడ్ చేసుకోవచ్చు (CET ఫలితాలు ప్రకటించాక).

ADMISSION TO PROFESSIONAL COURSES IN THE STATE OF KARNATAKA FOR THE YEAR 2025-26

As per Rule 3, Rule 6(3), and Rule 7 of the Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules 2006 (Amendments), and pursuant to the directions of the Government, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) invites applications from eligible Karnataka candidates for the "Common Entrance Test (CET)-2025" for determining the eligibility/merit for admission to the first year or first semester of full-time courses in Government share of seats in Engineering, Technology, Naturopathy & Yoga, B. Pharma, 2nd Year B. Pharma, Pharma-D, Agriculture courses (Farm Science), Veterinary, and B.Sc. Nursing courses in Government/University/Private Aided/Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in Karnataka for the academic year 2025-26 as per the seat matrix notified by the Government.
To be eligible for admission to the above-mentioned professional courses through KEA, candidates must register for CET-2025, fill the online application, pay the application fees, download the admission ticket, and appear for the Common Entrance Test-2025 conducted by KEA, Bangalore. The online application is an application-cum-verification module, so candidates are advised to carefully fill all the details. After submitting the application, the "Claim Certificate" details will be printed on the application form.
If the "Claim Certificate" states "Successfully Verified," such candidates need not visit any office/college for verification. The verification slip can be downloaded from the KEA website (after the announcement of CET results).
If the "Claim Certificate" states "Claimed Verified," "Claimed Not Verified," or "Not Claimed," then such candidates must compulsorily submit the CET-2025 application form along with all relevant original documents to the college where they studied 2nd PUC or 12th standard. College authorities will verify the originals based on the claim certificate and approve the details through the portal. The verification slip can be downloaded from the KEA website (after the announcement of CET results).
Subjects to appear for CET-2025 for admission to various professional courses:
- Engineering/Technology courses: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM), Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB)
- Farm Science courses: Physics, Chemistry, & Yoga, and B.Sc. Nursing
- B. Pharma, 2nd Year B. Pharma, Pharma-D: Biology (PCB), PCM or PCB
Candidates appearing for entrance exams for other courses:
- Medical, Dental, and AYUSH UG-NEET: Candidates must compulsorily register for CET-2025, fill the application, and pay the fees to participate in the KEA counseling.
- Architecture: NATA
- B.P.T., B.Sc. Allied Sciences, BPO courses: Selection based on PU Marks.
As per Government order No. MED 51 RGU 2023 dated 13-04-2023, for admission to B.Sc. Nursing courses, Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates must appear for the Common Entrance Test conducted by KEA. Non-Karnataka candidates will not be eligible for admission to engineering stream courses through KEA and will also not be eligible for reservation.
The UGCET-2025 Information Bulletin, containing details about online application submission, eligibility criteria, and academic eligibility, will be available on the KEA website. Candidates can download the bulletin from the website and apply online for various professional courses.
Schedule for online application and payment of fees for CET-2025:
- Commencement of Registration and Online Application: 23.01.2025 from 11:00 AM
- Last Date to Fill Online Application: 18.02.2025 by 11:59 PM
- Last Date to Pay Application Fees Online: 20.02.2025

17.04.2025 (Thursday): Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology
18.04.2025 (Friday): Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannada candidates (in select districts)

Note:

The question papers for CET-2025 will be based on the First and Second PUC syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka. The syllabus for CET-2025 has been published on the KEA website.

Eligibility Clauses

Clause-a:

The candidate must have studied and passed in one or more government or government-recognized educational institutions in Karnataka for at least seven years, starting from 1st standard to 2nd PUC/12th standard, as of 1st July of the year in which the entrance test is conducted. The candidate must also have passed either the SSLC/10th standard or 2nd PUC/12th standard examination in Karnataka. If the candidate took more than one year to pass a particular standard, only one year will be counted for academic study.

2nd PUC/12th Marks Card of the candidate
Study certificate from the institution, countersigned by the BEO/DDPU
If claiming rural quota: Rural study certificate for 1st to 10th standard
If claiming Kannada Medium quota: Kannada medium study certificate from 1st to 10th standard
If claiming reservation benefits: Caste/Income certificate with RD number issued by the concerned Tahsildar.

Clause-b:
The candidate must have studied and passed either 1st and 2nd year Pre-University or 11th and 12th standard in Karnataka in a government or recognized educational institution. Additionally, at least one of the candidate's parents must have studied in Karnataka for a minimum of seven years.

2nd PUC/12th Marks Card of the candidate
Study certificate for the candidate and at least one parent showing they studied in Karnataka for seven years.
If claiming reservation benefits: Caste/Income certificate with RD number.

Clause-c:
If the candidate’s or either parent's mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu, Kodava, or Beary, and they are from a family domiciled in Karnataka, the candidate must have passed the qualifying examination from an institution outside Karnataka and currently reside outside the state. The candidate must also pass a Kannada language test conducted by KEA.
Documents required:

SSLC/10th Marks Card of the candidate
12th Marks Card of the candidate
Domicile certificates from both Karnataka and outside Karnataka.
Study certificate, transfer certificate, and marks card showing mother tongue.
Sworn declaration regarding the mother tongue.

Clause-d:
The candidate’s mother tongue must be Kannada, Tulu, Kodava, or Beary, and they must have lived and studied for seven years between 1st to 12th standards in a Kannada-speaking area of South Sholapur, Akkalkot, Jath, Gadhinglaj Taluks (Maharashtra) or Kasargod, Hosadurga, Manjeshwar Taluks (Kerala). The candidate must pass a Kannada language test by KEA.

SSLC/10th Marks Card of the candidate
12th Marks Card of the candidate
Residential certificate from the concerned Taluk
Study certificate countersigned by the Taluk Education Officer
Sworn declaration regarding the mother tongue.

Clause-e:
For children of defense personnel who have worked continuously in Karnataka for at least one year during the two years of study in PUC/11th and 12th standard, the candidate must have passed the qualifying examination from a government-recognized institution in Karnataka.

2nd PUC/12th Marks Card of the candidate
Study certificate for 2nd PUC from the institution
Employment certificate of the parent showing the duration of service in Karnataka.

Clause-g:
For children of defense personnel who served in Karnataka for at least one year and were posted to Jammu & Kashmir or North-East, the candidate must have passed the qualifying exam from an institution in Karnataka.
Documents required:

SSLC/10th Marks Card of the candidate
2nd PUC/12th Marks Card of the candidate
Study certificate for 2nd PUC from the institution
Service certificate of the parent showing service in Karnataka and current posting, with permission for the family to stay in Karnataka.

Clause-f:
For children of serving defense personnel from Karnataka who declared Karnataka as their hometown at the time of joining service, proof of domicile must be provided. The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination from any institution in India.

2nd PUC/12th Marks Card of the candidate
Caste/Income certificate if applicable
Proof of the parent's hometown declaration and domicile status at the time of joining service.

Clause-h:
For children of ex-servicemen who declared a place in Karnataka as their hometown at the time of joining defense, proof of domicile must be obtained from the Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement. The candidate must have passed the qualifying exam from any institution in India.

2nd PUC/12th Marks Card of the candidate
Caste/Income certificate if applicable
Parent's hometown declaration from the concerned district authorities.

Clause-i:
For children of Union Government or State Government employees who have worked in Karnataka for at least one year during the two-year study period in PUC/11th and 12th standard. The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination from a government-recognized institution in Karnataka.

2nd PUC/12th Marks Card of the candidate
Study certificate for 2nd PUC from the institution
Employer certificate showing parent's transferability and work period in Karnataka.

Clause-k:
For children of Members of Parliament elected from Karnataka, the candidate must have passed the qualifying exam from any institution in India.
Documents required:

SSLC/10th Marks Card of the candidate
2nd PUC/12th Marks Card of the candidate
Caste/Income certificate if applicable
Certificate showing the parent is or was an MP elected from Karnataka.

Clause-j:
For children of current or retired employees of the Union Government or Karnataka State Government or Joint Sector Undertakings who declared a place in Karnataka as their hometown, and who have studied for at least seven years in Karnataka, the candidate must have passed the qualifying exam from any institution in India.

Caste/Income certificate if applicable
Study certificate for the parent showing seven years of study in Karnataka
Parent’s hometown declaration certificate.

Clause-l:
For children of serving or retired employees of Karnataka State Government or All India Service belonging to the Karnataka cadre, who served outside Karnataka during the candidate’s study period, the seven years of study in Karnataka can be considered.

2nd PUC/12th Marks Card of the candidate
Caste/Income certificate if applicable
Certificate from the Karnataka government confirming the parent’s service details and domicile status.

Clause-o
For children of Jammu & Kashmir migrants, proof of migration (IDENTITY CARD) should be obtained from the "District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner" of any state in India.

2nd PUC/12th Marks Card of the candidate
Original certificate (IDENTITY CARD) issued by the District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner as proof of migration.
Note: Candidates under this clause are eligible only for the seats earmarked by the Government.

Clause-n
Candidates who have studied 10 full academic years in Kannada medium from 1st to 10th standard outside Karnataka, and have passed the qualifying examination from any government or recognized educational institution, do not need to appear for the Kannada Language Test conducted by KEA.

Domicile certificate from concerned authorities certifying that the candidate and their parents reside outside Karnataka as of 01-05-2025
Study certificate for having studied in Kannada medium from 1st to 10th standard, issued by the head of the institution and countersigned by the BEO.

Clause-m
For children of working or retired employees in the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), who declared their hometown as a place in Karnataka when joining the service, proof of domicile must be obtained from the Record Office of the CAPF unit where the parent's service record is maintained. The candidate must have passed the qualifying exam from any institution in India.
Documents required:

SSLC/10th Marks Card of the candidate
2nd PUC/12th Marks Card of the candidate
Caste/Income certificate if applicable (SC/ST in Form 'D', Category-I in Form 'E', and 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B in Form 'F')
Parent's hometown declaration certificate from the Record Office of the CAPF unit.

Note:

The eligibility criteria for SC, ST, Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B apply only for government seats under clauses (a), (b), (f), (h), (i), (k), and (o).
Non-Karnataka candidates registering for B.Sc. (Nursing) courses will be assigned clause ‘y’ and are not eligible for any other UGCET courses other than B.Sc. (Nursing).

7. NATA for Admission to Architecture
To be eligible for the Architecture course, candidates must compulsorily qualify in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA-2025) as per the conditions set by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.

Candidates must also register for CET-2025, fill out the application online, and pay the application fees.
Candidates must submit their NATA score card to the KEA on the specified dates.

**Ancient Human Traces from the 4th Century Discovered: First-ever Shankhu Script Findings in Rayalaseema**

Kottakota (Annamayya District):** Ancient inscriptions discovered in the Lankamala Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Siddavata region of Annamayya district, have been identified as belonging to the period between the 4th and 15th centuries. This marks the first discovery of **Shankhu Script** in Rayalaseema, a rare and significant find in the region. According to Archaeological Department officials, this discovery is notable, as similar findings have not been made in Rayalaseema until now.

The 15 inscriptions discovered were translated by Dr. K. Muniratnam Reddy, Director of the Indian Archaeological Survey. Among them, some inscriptions belong to the 4th, 5th, and 6th centuries and are written in **Shankhu Script**, which is the first time such a script has been found in Rayalaseema. This discovery provides new insights into the evolution of human civilization and script in the region.

One of the inscriptions in **Shankhu Script** mentions a name, **Chandrahasa**, confirming that this individual lived in the area and likely inscribed the message to establish their legacy for future generations.

Another inscription, written in **Sanskrit**, appears in **Nagari Script** and mentions a person named **Sri Vishishta Kankan Dari**. It is believed that this individual was associated with the region during the 8th century. Another inscription from the 15th century mentions a name, **Sthala Kar Chanappa**, in Sanskrit.

Archaeologists have noted the presence of **Shiva Lingam** carvings beside some inscriptions, further suggesting that the people of the region were followers of **Shaivism** and may have opposed Buddhist and Jain ideologies during that period.

This discovery highlights the **evolution of scripts** in the region, from **Brahmi** in the 4th to 6th centuries, **Sanskrit** in the 4th to 8th centuries, **Nagari Script** in the 6th to 8th centuries, and **Telugu** by the 14th century. These inscriptions offer valuable evidence of the changes in language and script over the centuries.

The Lankamala Wildlife Sanctuary is now expected to become a key research center for further studies on human evolution and script development.
