"పరీక్షలకు ఒకరు బదులు మరొకరు (ప్రాక్సీ) హాజరయ్యే మోసకారి చర్యలను నిరోధించడానికి, తప్పుడు మార్గాల్లో పరీక్ష జరగటానికి వీలు లేకుండా ఈ పద్ధతిని తప్పనిసరి చేశాం" అని ఎన్టీఏ డైరెక్టర్ సుబోధ్ కుమార్ సింగ్ పేర్కొన్నారు. అభ్యర్థుల ప్రవేశంలో స్క్రీనింగ్ పరీక్ష, బయోమెట్రిక్ తప్పనిసరిగా ఉంటాయన్నారు. ఇతర పరీక్షలకూ ఈ పద్ధతినే కొనసాగిస్తామని చెప్పారు. జనవరి 24వ తేదీ నుంచి ఫిబ్రవరి 1 వరకు కంప్యూటర్ ఆధారితంగా ఉండే ఈ పరీక్షను 13 భాషల్లో నిర్వహిస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ఫలితాలు ఫిబ్రవరి 12న ప్రకటిస్తారన్నారు. ప్రవేశ పరీక్షకు ఈసారి 12.3 లక్షల దరఖాస్తులు వచ్చాయని, రెండో దఫా పరీక్షను ఏప్రిల్లో నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు.

Delhi: The officials of the National Testing Agency (NA) have revealed that candidates appearing for the engineering entrance exam JEE Main will undergo extensive checks and biometric attendance. The same policy will be applied to officers, supervisors, staff and assistants. Also explained that biometric attendance is mandatory even after toilet breaks. "We have made this practice mandatory to prevent fraudulent practices of appearing for the exams by someone else (proxy) so that the exam is not conducted in wrong ways," said NTA Director Subodh Kumar Singh. Screening test and biometric are mandatory for admission of candidates. He said that this method will be continued for other exams. He said that this computer-based examination will be conducted in 13 languages from January 24 to February 1. The results will be announced on February 12. It has been revealed that 12.3 lakh applications have been received for the entrance exam this time and the second round of the exam will be held in April.

Eligibility:
* General Scholarship: Must have passed Inter/Diploma with minimum 60% marks in academic year 2022-23. The annual family income of the student's parents should not exceed Rs.2,50,000. Scholarship is available to students pursuing any Degree, Medicine, Engineering, Integrated, Diploma, Vocational or equivalent courses in Government or Government recognized colleges/ institutions.
* Special Girl Child Scholarship: It aims to promote higher education of girls after 10th standard. Must have passed 10th with minimum 60% marks in academic year 2022-23. The annual family income of the candidate's parents should not exceed Rs.2,50,000. Girls pursuing Intermediate, Vocational, Diploma, ITI courses in Government or Government recognized colleges/institutions will get stipend.
Such assistance:
* Rs.40 thousand is given annually to medical students for general scholarship. Received in three installments (Rs.12000/Rs.12000/Rs.16000) each. For engineering students, Rs.30 thousand will be given per year. It will be paid in three installments (Rs.9000/Rs.9000/Rs.12000). Those doing degree, integrated courses, diploma and vocational courses will be given Rs.20,000 annually till the completion of the course. This amount will be deposited in the bank accounts in three installments (Rs.6000/Rs.6000/Rs.8000).
Under the Special Girl Child Scheme, selected students will be given Rs.15,000 per year. This amount is paid in three installments (Rs.4500/Rs.4500/Rs.6000) to complete Inter, Vocational/Diploma courses after completion of 10th standard.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected for the scholarship on the basis of merit of marks obtained in Tenth or Inter mentioned as minimum qualification, family financial condition. Low income groups will be given first priority.
