Today Pratibha Desk: University Grants Commission- National Eligibility Test June 2024 (UGC-NET) exam date is finalised. The UGC has announced that the examination will be conducted on June 18, which will be used for PhD admissions to compete for the Junior Research Fellowship award, assistant professor posts in universities. The details of the exam center will be revealed 10 days before the exam. The National Examinations Council has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting OMMAR based examination (Pen/Paper) for all 83 subjects. It is known that online applications were received from April 20 to May 10. This exam is conducted twice a year.

Exam Pattern: The exam will be based on OMR. There will be two papers in the exam. Both the papers will have objective type, multiple choice questions. Paper-1 will carry 50 questions... 100 marks and Paper-2 will carry 100 questions... 200 marks. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.

These exams will be held from June 5 to 7 at the main centres. Candidates who have applied can download admit cards with details of online registration number and date of birth. Candidates will be selected on the basis of Paper-1 (Computer Based Test), Paper-2 (Offline Descriptive) written test, verification of certificates and medical examination. According to the seventh pay scale, the salary will be Rs.35,400- Rs.1,12,400.
