భార్య కాపురానికి రావడానికి నిరాకరించడంతో మనస్తాపం చెందిన ఒక వ్యక్తి రైలు కిందపడి ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకున్న సంఘటన గురువారం వేకువజామున హిందూపురంలో చోటుచేసుకుంది. పట్టణంలోని ఎంజీఎం పాఠశాల సమీపంలో బి. సంపత్ (35) రైలు కిందపడి ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకున్నట్లు రైల్వే హెడ్ కానిస్టేబుల్ ఎర్రిస్వామి తెలిపారు.
వివరాల్లోకి వెళితే, హిందూపురం పట్టణం, నేతాజీనగర్కు చెందిన సంపత్ తాపీ పనిచేస్తూ జీవనం సాగించేవాడు. అయితే, సంపత్ రోజువారీ సంపాదనతో మద్యం తాగి జల్సా చేస్తుండేవాడు. ఏడాది క్రితం పనికి వెళ్లగా అతని చెయ్యి విరిగింది. అప్పటి నుంచి ఇంట్లోనే ఉంటూ మద్యం కోసం డబ్బులు లేక భార్యతో గొడవపడటంతో ఆమె పుట్టింటికి వెళ్లిపోయింది. భార్య తిరిగి కాపురానికి రావాలని సంపత్ పెద్దమనుషుల ద్వారా పంచాయతీ పెట్టించగా, అతను మద్యం మానేస్తేనే వస్తానని ఆమె స్పష్టం చేసింది. దీంతో తీవ్ర మనస్తాపానికి గురైన సంపత్, గురువారం వేకువజామున రైలు కిందపడి ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకున్నాడు. శవపరీక్ష అనంతరం మృతదేహాన్ని కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు అప్పగించినట్లు రైల్వే హెడ్ కానిస్టేబుల్ తెలిపారు.

A man reportedly committed suicide by jumping under a train after his wife refused to return to their marital home, according to Railway Head Constable Erriswamy. The incident involving B. Sampath (35) occurred on Thursday morning near the MGM School in the town.
Details are as follows: Sampath, a resident of Netaji Nagar in Hindupuram, worked as a mason. He was known to spend his daily earnings on alcohol and leisure. A year ago, he broke his hand while at work. While staying at home, he frequently fought with his wife over money for alcohol, leading her to return to her parents' house. Sampath arranged a settlement through elders, requesting her return. However, his wife stated she would only come back if he quit drinking. Deeply distressed by her condition, Sampath committed suicide by throwing himself under a train in the early hours of Thursday. The Railway Head Constable confirmed that the body was handed over to the family members after a post-mortem examination.
