**🏥 250 Additional MBBS Seats Approved in Andhra Pradesh Private Medical Colleges 🩺**

**Vijayawada (Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences):** The **National Medical Commission (NMC)** has approved **an additional 250 MBBS seats** in several private medical colleges across Andhra Pradesh for the current academic year. On October 13, **Anna Gauri Medical College in Puttur** increased its intake from 100 to 150 seats, and **Shantiram Medical College in Kurnool** from 150 to 200 seats.

On Thursday, permissions were granted to **NRI Medical College, Visakhapatnam**, to increase its MBBS seats from 150 to 250. Similarly, **Shantiram Medical College, Kurnool**, has been permitted to further expand its intake from 200 to 250. Officials said that **Letters of Permission (LoPs)** for the additional seats are awaited, and they will be included in the **third phase of MBBS counseling** conducted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.

The **University Grants Commission (UGC)** has released the **National Eligibility Test (NET) December 2025 notification**. The exam offers a pathway to **Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)** for research, and eligibility for **Assistant Professor positions** as well as **PhD admissions**. The test is conducted online in a **computer-based format**.

**Eligibility:**

Candidates must have a **Master’s degree with at least 55% marks** (50% for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/Differently-abled/Third Gender). Final year students may also apply. For **JRF**, candidates must be **under 30 years** as of 01.12.2025 (5-year relaxation for reserved categories). No age limit for **PhD and Assistant Professor** eligibility.

ఉద్యోగుల భవిష్యనిధి సంస్థ (EPFO – Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation) 1938 సెంట్రల్ బోర్డ్ ఆఫ్ ట్రస్టీస్ (CBT) సమావేశంలో **PF విత్‌డ్రాయల్ నియమాలలో 7 ప్రధాన మార్పులను** ఆమోదించింది. ఈ మార్పులు ఉద్యోగుల అవసరాలను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకొని విత్‌డ్రాయల్ ప్రక్రియను మరింత సులభతరం చేస్తాయని అధికారులు పేర్కొన్నారు.

### 🔹 1. విత్‌డ్రాయల్ కారణాల వర్గీకరణ

ఇంతకుముందు ఉన్న 13 పారాగ్రాఫ్‌లను మూడు ప్రధాన వర్గాలుగా విభజించారు:

1️⃣ అనారోగ్యం, విద్య, వివాహం వంటి వ్యక్తిగత అవసరాలు

2️⃣ గృహ అవసరాలు

3️⃣ ప్రత్యేక పరిస్థితులు — ప్రకృతి వైపరీత్యాలు, అంటువ్యాధులు మొదలైనవి.

### 🔹 2. 100% పార్షియల్ విత్‌డ్రాయల్ అవకాశం

ఇప్పటినుంచి ఉద్యోగులు తమ PF బ్యాలెన్స్‌లో (ఉద్యోగి + యజమాని వాటా) **100% వరకు పార్షియల్ విత్‌డ్రాయల్** చేసుకునే అవకాశం పొందారు.

### 🔹 3. విత్‌డ్రాయల్次数 పెంపు

విద్య కోసం PF అడ్వాన్స్ **3 సార్ల నుంచి 10 సార్లకు**, వివాహం కోసం **5 సార్లకు** పెంచారు.

### 🔹 4. కనీస సర్వీసు కాలం తగ్గింపు

విద్య, వివాహం, గృహ అవసరాల కోసం PF అడ్వాన్స్ పొందడానికి కనీస సర్వీసు కాలాన్ని **5 లేదా 7 సంవత్సరాల నుండి కేవలం 12 నెలలకు (1 సంవత్సరం)** తగ్గించారు.

### 🔹 5. ప్రత్యేక పరిస్థితుల్లో కారణం అవసరం లేదు

ప్రకృతి వైపరీత్యాలు లేదా అంటువ్యాధుల సమయంలో విత్‌డ్రాయల్ చేసుకునేటప్పుడు ఇకపై ప్రత్యేక కారణం తెలపాల్సిన అవసరం ఉండదు. ఏ సమయంలోనైనా ఆప్షన్ అందుబాటులో ఉంటుంది.

### 🔹 6. మినిమం బ్యాలెన్స్ నిబంధన

సభ్యులు తమ PF ఖాతాలో కనీసం **25% బ్యాలెన్స్‌ను నిల్వ ఉంచడం తప్పనిసరి.** ఇది వృద్ధాప్య భద్రత కోసం కొత్తగా తీసుకొచ్చిన ప్రతిపాదన.

### 🔹 7. ఫైనల్ సెటిల్‌మెంట్ గడువు పెంపు

ఉద్యోగం మానేసిన తర్వాత EPF మొత్తాన్ని (Form 19) తీసుకోవడానికి ఉన్న **2 నెలల గడువును 12 నెలలకు** పెంచారు.

అదే విధంగా, పెన్షన్ (Form 10C) పొందడానికి గడువు **2 నెలల నుంచి 36 నెలలకు (3 సంవత్సరాలకు)** పొడిగించబడింది.

**EPFO Introduces 7 Major Changes in PF Withdrawal Rules After 1938 CBT Meeting 🏛️**

The **Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO)** has approved **seven major changes** in Provident Fund (PF) withdrawal norms during the **1938 Central Board of Trustees (CBT) meeting.** The new rules aim to simplify withdrawal procedures and make them more employee-friendly.

### 🔹 1. Categorization of Withdrawal Reasons

The earlier 13 clauses have now been simplified into **three main categories:**

1️⃣ Illness, Education, Marriage

2️⃣ Housing Needs

3️⃣ Special Circumstances — Natural Disasters, Epidemics, etc.

### 🔹 2. 100% Partial Withdrawal

Employees can now make **partial withdrawals up to 100%** of their total PF balance, including both employee and employer contributions.

### 🔹 3. Increase in Withdrawal Frequency

The number of times an advance can be taken for **education** has been increased from **3 to 10 times**, and for **marriage** up to **5 times.**

### 🔹 4. Reduction in Minimum Service Requirement

The minimum service period required to withdraw for education, marriage, or housing has been reduced from **5–7 years to just 12 months.**

### 🔹 5. No Reason Required Under Special Circumstances

Under special conditions such as natural calamities or epidemics, employees can withdraw funds **without providing a specific reason** — applications will be accepted anytime.

### 🔹 6. Minimum Balance Rule Introduced

Members must now **maintain at least 25% of their PF balance** for retirement and old-age security purposes.

### 🔹 7. Extended Settlement Periods

The waiting period to withdraw the full EPF amount (Form 19) after leaving a job has been **extended from 2 months to 12 months.**

For pension withdrawal (Form 10C), the duration has been **increased from 2 months to 36 months (3 years).**

These reforms are expected to enhance flexibility, protect employee savings, and streamline the PF withdrawal process for millions of EPFO members.

**Important Information for NEET UG 2025 Qualified Students – AYUSH Admissions (BAMS, BHMS, BUMS) under MQ, AIQ & Convener Quotas 🌿**

NEET UG 2025 qualified students have been issued crucial guidelines for admission into **AYUSH courses (BAMS, BHMS, BUMS)** under the **Management Quota (MQ)**, **All India Quota (AIQ)**, and **Convener Quota (CQ)**, including web options, choice filling, and reporting instructions.

### 🔹 Convener Quota (Phase-1) Reporting:

Students allotted seats in Phase-1 must **report to their colleges by 4 PM on October 18, 2025.** Reporting means the candidate and parent must visit the college with original certificates and tuition fees. However, if the student prefers a better course (MBBS/BDS), joining is not mandatory.

After paying the **university fee of ₹8,600**, students can download their allotment order. The same payment will remain valid for further rounds. Those who wish to withdraw after joining can do so under the **‘Free Exit’** option. Note that once a seat is vacated in Phase-1, it will not be available again in subsequent rounds.

### 🔹 Management Quota & All India Quota (Phase-1) Web Options:

The window for web options will remain open **from 10 AM on October 16 to 6 PM on October 17, 2025.**

* **Management Quota (MQ):** 42 seats per college.

* **All India Quota (AIQ):** 15 seats per college.

  No reservations apply under these quotas — admissions will be purely merit-based.

**Dr. NTR University issues important notice on Retain, Free Exit & Up-Gradation options for BDS Convener Quota Students in Andhra Pradesh 🩺**

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTR UHS) has released an important notification regarding **Retain, Free Exit, and Up-Gradation options** for students who have been allotted seats in **Phase-1 BDS admissions under the Convener Quota** and have reported to their respective colleges.

Students who are satisfied with the college allotted to them and do not wish to move to another institution must select the **‘Retain’ or ‘Continue’** option. This can be exercised **between 4 PM on October 16 and 4 PM on October 18, 2025**, through the university’s official website. Once the “Retain” option is selected, the seat cannot be cancelled or changed.

As the **All India Quota (AIQ) Round-3 results** are expected to be released on **October 18**, students participating in the AIQ round have been advised **not to rush into giving the Retain option** before the results are declared.

Students who wish to **withdraw from the course entirely** (for instance, after getting a better seat in AIQ or deciding not to pursue BDS) can avail the **“Free Exit”** option. The window for Free Exit will be open **from 11 AM on October 16 to 4 PM on October 19, 2025**. The Free Exit application form is available on the university website and must be filled, signed by both student and parent, and submitted to the **principal of the college** where the student has reported. Through this process, candidates can reclaim their original certificates and tuition fees. However, those opting for Free Exit will **lose eligibility for further BDS Convener Quota rounds.**

Students seeking **Up-Gradation** to a better college in the second round should **not select either Retain or Free Exit.** They should continue in the current college, as they will be **automatically considered for up-gradation.** If they secure a better seat in the second round, the earlier seat will be cancelled. If not, they can continue in their current seat.

The university has advised all students to carefully read the notification, understand the rules thoroughly, and take decisions wisely without any haste.
