Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released a notification for admissions to Balvatika 1, 2, and 3 in Pre-Primary, Class 1, and Class 2.
Eligibility: Children aged between 3 to 6 years are eligible for admission.

కేంద్రీయ విద్యాలయాలను మొదట భారతదేశంలోని భద్రతా సంబంధిత ఉద్యోగుల పిల్లల కోసం ఏర్పాటుచేసారు. మొదట వీటిని సెంట్రల్ స్కూల్స్ గా పిలిచేవారు, తరువాత వీటి పేరు కేంద్రీయ విద్యాలయాలుగా మారింది. ఈ విద్యాలయాల పర్యవేక్షణ కోసం ప్రత్యేకమైన కేంద్రీయ విద్యాలయ సంఘటనం ఏర్పడింది.
ప్రవేశాలు – ఒకటో తరగతి నుంచి పదో తరగతి వరకు: ప్రస్తుతం, కేంద్రీయ విద్యాలయాల్లో ఒకటో తరగతి నుంచి పదో తరగతి వరకు ప్రవేశాలకు ప్రకటన విడుదలైంది. ఒకటో తరగతిలో ప్రవేశం పొందాలంటే, మార్చి 31, 2025 నాటికి విద్యార్థి కనీసం 6 సంవత్సరాలు, గరిష్టంగా 8 సంవత్సరాలు ఉండాలి. మొదట ఈ విద్యాలయాలు కేవలం దేశ రక్షణ శాఖ ఉద్యోగుల పిల్లల కోసం మాత్రమే ఉండగా, ఇప్పుడు అన్ని వర్గాల వారికి కూడా ప్రవేశం అందుబాటులో ఉంది.
కేటగిరీల ఆధారంగా ప్రవేశం: కేంద్రీయ విద్యాలయాల్లో ప్రవేశాలు ఆరుగురు కేటగిరీల ఆధారంగా నిర్వహిస్తారు:
- కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగుల పిల్లలు
- రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగుల పిల్లలు
- స్వయం ప్రతిపత్తి సంస్థలు

ప్రాధాన్యతలు: ప్రవేశాలు, ఎంపికలో ప్రాధాన్యతలు అమలు చేస్తారు:
- ఒకే తల్లిదండ్రుల పిల్లలు
- జాతీయ/రాష్ట్ర స్థాయి క్రీడల్లో ప్రథమ మూడు స్థానాల్లో నిలిచిన విద్యార్థులకు
- స్పెషల్ ఆర్ట్స్లో గుర్తింపు పొందిన విద్యార్థులకు
- సామాజిక మరియు ఆర్థికంగా వెనుకబడిన వర్గాలకు చెందిన పిల్లలకు
ప్రవేశ విధానం – ఆన్లైన్ దరఖాస్తు: కేంద్రీయ విద్యాలయాల్లో ఒకటో తరగతికి ప్రవేశాల కోసం పూర్తిగా ఆన్లైన్ దరఖాస్తులు స్వీకరిస్తారు. ఈ దరఖాస్తుల ఆధారంగా లాటరీ విధానంలో విద్యార్థులను ఎంపిక చేస్తారు.

- ఒకటో తరగతి: 6-8 ఏళ్లు
- రెండో తరగతి: 7-9 ఏళ్లు
- మూడో తరగతి: 8-10 ఏళ్లు
- నాలుగో తరగతి: 9-11 ఏళ్లు
- ఐదో తరగతి: 9-11 ఏళ్లు
- ఆరో తరగతి: 10-12 ఏళ్లు
- ఏడో తరగతి: 11-13 ఏళ్లు
- ఎనిమిదో తరగతి: 12-14 ఏళ్లు
- తొమ్మిదో తరగతి: 13-15 ఏళ్లు
- పదో తరగతి: 14-16 ఏళ్లు
రిజర్వేషన్:
- ఎస్సీ: 15%
- ఎస్టీ: 7.5%
- పీడబ్ల్యూడీ: 3%
ఇంటర్మీడియట్ ప్రవేశాలు: ఇంటర్ ప్రవేశాలకు వయో పరిమితులు ఉండవు. అయితే, ఇంటర్ మొదటి సంవత్సరానికి అభ్యర్థులు, ఎస్ఎస్సీ ఫలితాలు వచ్చిన 10 రోజులలో దరఖాస్తు చేయాలి.
ప్రవేశ పరీక్ష - తొమ్మిదో తరగతి: తొమ్మిదో తరగతి ప్రవేశాలకు ప్రత్యేకమైన అడ్మిషన్ టెస్ట్ నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఇది మూడు గంటలు వ్యవధిలో 100 మార్కులకు ఉంటుంది. ఈ పరీక్షలో హిందీ, ఇంగ్లిష్, మ్యాథ్స్, సోషల్సైన్స్, సైన్స్ విషయాలపై ప్రశ్నలు ఉంటాయి. 33% మార్కులతో ఉత్తీర్ణత సాధించాలి.
స్కూల్ రెడీనెస్ ప్రోగ్రామ్: కొత్తగా చేరే విద్యార్థుల కోసం స్కూల్ వాతావరణానికి అలవాటు పడేలా 6 వారాల స్కూల్ రెడీనెస్ ప్రోగ్రామ్ను అమలు చేస్తారు.

Education and Development: The Key to Central Schools!
Focusing on activity-based learning, Central Schools (KVs) are not only providing education and knowledge to students but also contributing to their mental development. From Class 1 to Intermediate levels, KVs offer multi-dimensional skills to students through innovative teaching methods. Recently, the admission process for the academic year 2025-26 has been initiated in Central Schools. Here’s an overview of the admission procedure, innovative teaching methods, activity-based learning, application process, and other important details:

Initially, Central Schools were established to cater to the children of employees in the country’s defense services. They were initially known as Central Schools and later renamed as Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs). A special supervisory body, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, was set up to oversee these schools across the country.
Admissions: From Class 1 to Class 10
Currently, Kendriya Vidyalayas have announced the admission process from Class 1 to Class 10. For admission to Class 1, the child must be between 6 to 8 years old as of March 31, 2025. While these schools were initially meant for the children of defense personnel, now students from all backgrounds are eligible for admission. Admissions are granted based on several priority categories.
Categories for Admission:
KVs have five priority categories for selecting students:
- Children of transferred central government employees.
- Children of regular central government employees.
- Children of employees of central public sector enterprises.
- Children of employees of autonomous organizations under the central government.
- Children of employees of institutes under the Indian Government’s Ministry of Higher Education.
Other categories include children of state government employees, public sector enterprises, and state government autonomous organizations. Students who do not fall under these categories are also considered for admission.
Priority in Selection:
Admissions and selection also follow a priority-based system. The following students are given preference:
- Only child or female student.
- Students who have won positions (top three) in national or state-level sports events.
- Students recognized in special arts at the state or national level.
- Students from economically or socially backward communities.
Online Application for Class 1:
Applications for Class 1 admissions will be accepted only through the online portal. Students can apply to a maximum of three Kendriya Vidyalayas via this portal. After receiving the applications, the selection will be done through a lottery system, where the priority-based approach will be followed.
Age Criteria:
- Class 1: 6-8 years
- Class 2: 7-9 years
- Class 3: 8-10 years
- Class 4: 9-11 years
- Class 5: 9-11 years
- Class 6: 10-12 years
- Class 7: 11-13 years
- Class 8: 12-14 years
- Class 9: 13-15 years
- Class 10: 14-16 years
There is a relaxation of 2 years in the age limit for PwD (Persons with Disabilities) students.
Reservation:
- SC Students: 15% seats
- ST Students: 7.5% seats
- PwD Students: 3% seats
No Age Limit for Intermediate Admissions:
There is no age limit for admission to Intermediate (11th and 12th). However, students must apply for the first year immediately after completing their Class 10 exams, and admissions are subject to the availability of seats.
Admission Test for Class 9:
An admission test is conducted for Class 9 admissions. The test will last for three hours and will be for 100 marks, covering subjects like Hindi, English, Math, Social Studies, and Science. A minimum of 33% marks is required to pass. After the test, KVs will create a merit list and offer admission based on priority categories.
School Readiness Program:
KVs have designed a "School Readiness Program" of six weeks for new students to adjust to the school environment. Teachers will assess whether the desired outcomes, such as understanding the surroundings, building self-confidence, observational skills, and creativity, have been achieved.
Fee Structure:
- Admission Fee: ₹25
- School Development Fund: ₹500
- Tuition Fee: ₹500-600 (for Classes 1 to 5)
- Tuition Fee: ₹1000 (for Classes 6 to 10)
Female students, SC/ST students, and children of KV employees are exempt from tuition fees.

Intermediate Admissions:
