హిందూపురం అర్బన్: హిందూపురం మార్కెట్ లో చింత పండు ధరలు తగ్గుముఖం పట్టాయి. గత రెండు వారాలతో పోలిస్తే క్వింటా పైన రూ.6,000 తగ్గుదల కనిపించింది. గురువారం మార్కెట్ కు 1,700 క్వింటాళ్ల చింత పండు వచ్చి, ఈ నామ్ పద్ధతిలో మార్కెట్లో వేలం పాట నిర్వహించారు. కరిపులి రకం గత రెండు వారాల క్రితం గరిష్టంగా క్వింటా రూ.33,000 పలుకగా ఈ వారం రూ.27,000 పలికింది. కనిష్ట ధర రూ.8,100గా పలికింది. సగటున రూ.13,500 పలికింది. ఇక, ఫ్లవర్ రకం క్వింటా గరిష్ట ధర రూ.12,500 పలుకగా కనిష్ట ధర రూ.4,500 పలికింది. సగటు ధర రూ.7,500 పలికినట్లు మార్కెట్ కార్యదర్శి జి. చంద్రమౌళి తెలిపారు. గత వారం అక్కడక్కడా వడగండ్ల వర్షం కురవడం, వాతావరణ మార్పులు ధరలపై ప్రభావం చూపాయని తెలిపారు.

Falling Tamarind Prices

Hindupur Urban: The prices of tamarind have fallen in the Hindupur market. Compared to the last two weeks, there has been a decrease of Rs. 6,000 per quintal. On Thursday, 1,700 quintals of tamarind arrived at the market, and an auction was held using the name method. The price for the Karipuli variety, which was Rs. 33,000 per quintal two weeks ago, has dropped to Rs. 27,000 this week. The minimum price recorded was Rs. 8,100, with an average price of Rs. 13,500. Meanwhile, the Flower variety had a maximum price of Rs. 12,500 per quintal, while the minimum price was Rs. 4,500, with an average price of Rs. 7,500, as stated by the market secretary, G. Chandramouli. He also mentioned that the recent gusty rains and weather changes have affected the prices.

Free DSC Training for SC, ST Candidates

Puttaparthi: The District Social Welfare Officer, Shivaranagaprasad, has announced that the government will provide free training to DSC candidates from SC and ST communities in the district. అనంతపురం ఎడ్యుకేషన్: ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ సాంఘిక సంక్షేమ (అంబేడ్కర్) గురుకుల విద్యాలయాల్లో 2025-26 విద్యా సంవత్సరంలో 5వ తరగతి, ఇంటర్ ప్రథమ సంవత్సరం ప్రవేశాలకు ఏప్రిల్ 6న జరగాల్సిన రాత పరీక్ష వాయిదా పడింది. అనివార్య కారణాల వల్ల 13న వాయిదా వేసినట్లు గురుకులాల ఉమ్మడి జిల్లా సమన్వయ అధికారి కె. జయలక్ష్మీ గురువారం ఒక ప్రకటనలో తెలిపారు. విద్యార్థులు, తల్లిదండ్రులు గమనించాలన్నారు. గంటముందే పరీక్ష కేంద్రాలకు చేరుకోవాలని సూచించారు. హాల్టికెట్లలో విద్యార్థుల ఫొటో తప్పుగా ప్రింట్ అయ్యి ఉంటే ఒరిజినల్ ఫొటో, గుర్తింపు కార్డు/ఆధార్ కార్డుతో పరీక్షకు హాజరుకావాలని తెలిపారు.

Ambedkar Gurukula Entrance Exam Postponed

Anantapur Education: The written examination for admissions to the 5th class and Intermediate first year for the academic year 2025-26 in the Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare (Ambedkar) Gurukula Schools, which was scheduled for April 6, has been postponed. Due to unavoidable circumstances, the exam has been rescheduled to April 13, as announced by K. Jayalakshmi, the Joint District Coordinator of Gurukulas, in a statement on Thursday. Students and parents are advised to take note of the change. They are also advised to reach the exam centers one hour before the exam. In case the student’s photo is incorrectly printed on the hall ticket, they must bring the original photo ID card/ Aadhaar card to attend the exam.

Anantapur Rural: The Department of Welfare for Differently-abled and Senior Citizens, A.D. Vinod, has announced that applications are being accepted for the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) scheme for eligible beneficiaries. A statement was released on Thursday regarding this. Individuals aged 70 years and above can avail free health protection under PMJAY up to ₹5 lakh, irrespective of their social or economic status. Beneficiaries can access nearly 2,000 types of medical treatments. Eligible individuals can register by downloading the Ayushman app from the Google Play Store or through the website https://beneficiary.nha.gov.in/. Registration can also be done through the Health Secretary at the Secretariat. For more details, the toll-free number 14555 can be contacted.

Applications invited for 42-day TTC

Anantapur Education: The District Education Officer M. Prasad Babu and the Assistant Commissioner of Government Examinations Govindanayak have announced that applications are invited for the Summer Technical Training (42-day TTC) course. The course will be conducted at Government High School No. 2 in the city. The training will be from May 1 to June 11. Applicants are advised to apply online at www.bse.ap.gov.in between April 3 and 25. Offline applications will not be accepted. It was clarified that the candidate must be between 18 and 45 years of age as of May 1 this year.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who have passed 10th grade and completed Lower TTC, those who have completed the SSC vocational course, those who hold the vocational qualification certificate issued by the Intermediate Board, candidates with certificates issued by the State Board of Technical Education & Training, those who possess a National Trade Certificate issued by government-recognized ITI institutions, candidates holding a pass certificate issued by the Institute of National Handloom Weaving, those with a Diploma certificate in Karnataka Music (vocal, veena, violin) issued by Telugu University, and those who hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts certificate from any university are eligible to apply.
