PF Amount Withdrawal: Big Good News for Employees – Withdraw PF Instantly! When Will It Start?
The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has announced a major update for government and private employees regarding PF withdrawals. Recently, EPFO introduced a new facility that allows employees to withdraw their PF amounts instantly using UPI and ATMs. Previously, employees had to wait for several days to receive their PF funds. Now, with this new system, withdrawals will be processed within seconds. However, there was no clarity on when this feature would be implemented. Now, a key update has been provided!
New PF Withdrawal System Coming Soon
The Union Ministry of Labour and Employment has approved the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) recommendation to allow UPI-based instant PF withdrawals. According to Labour Secretary Sumitra Dawra, this facility will be available from May or June 2025. Once implemented, employees can withdraw their PF balance instantly using UPI-linked apps such as Google Pay, PhonePe, BHIM, and Paytm. There will be no need to wait for banks to process the transactions, as funds will be credited immediately upon withdrawal request.
Benefits for Crores of Employees
This new system is expected to benefit millions of employees across India. Employees can check their PF balance and withdraw funds instantly through UPI and ATMs. The maximum withdrawal limit will be ₹1 lakh, and employees will have the flexibility to choose their preferred bank account for fund transfers.
Current EPFO Withdrawal Rules
At present, PF withdrawals can only be done through bank transfers. Employees have to provide bank account details, and the funds are transferred via NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer) or RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement). This process usually takes 2-3 days. While this system ensures security, it is not suitable for urgent financial needs.

కేంద్ర కార్మిక శాఖ నేషనల్ పేమెంట్స్ కార్పొరేషన్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా (NPCI) ప్రతిపాదనకు ఆమోదం తెలిపింది. కేంద్ర కార్మిక శాఖ కార్యదర్శి సుమిత్రా దావ్రా ప్రకారం, ఈ సదుపాయం మే లేదా జూన్ 2025లో అమల్లోకి రానుంది. ఇకపై ఉద్యోగులు గూగుల్ పే, ఫోన్‌పే, భీమ్ (BHIM), పేటీఎం వంటి యూపీఐ యాప్‌ల ద్వారా తక్షణమే నగదు ఉపసంహరించుకోవచ్చు. బ్యాంక్ ప్రాసెసింగ్ కోసం వేచి ఉండాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. విత్‌డ్రా రిక్వెస్ట్ పెట్టిన వెంటనే, యూపీఐ లింక్ చేసిన బ్యాంక్ అకౌంట్‌లోకి డబ్బులు చేరిపోతాయి.
కోట్లాది ఉద్యోగులకు లాభం
ఈ కొత్త మార్పుతో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా కోట్లాది ఉద్యోగులకు లాభం కలుగనుంది. యూపీఐ, ఏటీఎం ద్వారా పీఎఫ్ నగదు ఉపసంహరణ, బ్యాలెన్స్ చెకింగ్ వంటి సదుపాయాలు అందుబాటులోకి రానున్నాయి. ఇకపై ₹1 లక్ష వరకు తక్షణ నగదు ఉపసంహరణ చేసుకోవచ్చని, తమకు నచ్చిన బ్యాంక్ ఖాతాకు నేరుగా నగదు బదిలీ చేసుకోవచ్చని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
ప్రస్తుత పీఎఫ్ ఉపసంహరణ విధానం
ప్రస్తుతం EPFO డబ్బులు బ్యాంక్ ట్రాన్స్‌ఫర్ ద్వారా మాత్రమే పొందవచ్చు. ఉద్యోగులు బ్యాంక్ అకౌంట్ వివరాలు అందించిన తర్వాత, నిధులు NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer) లేదా RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement) ద్వారా 2-3 రోజుల్లో అకౌంట్‌లోకి జమ అవుతాయి. అయితే తక్షణ అవసరాలకు ఈ విధానం అనుకూలంగా ఉండదు.
