PM Employment Generation Scheme: Loans for Minorities 💼💰
Anantha Welfare, News Today: The Executive Officer of the Minority Corporation, Subrahmanyam, announced that applications are invited for loans under the Prime Minister Employment Generation Scheme (PMEGP) for minorities. He mentioned that a project can be set up with a maximum of ₹50 lakhs for the manufacturing sector and ₹20 lakhs for the services sector. Based on the category of beneficiaries, the central government will provide a loan subsidy ranging from 15% to 35% of the project value. For the general category, it will be 10%, and for special categories like SC, ST, OBC, minorities, women, transgender individuals, ex-servicemen, and persons with disabilities, a subsidy of 5% will be provided from any bank.
