### Karnataka Medical Counseling: 400 New Seats Approved
**Amaravathi:** The first round of admissions for MBBS, BDS, and Ayush courses in Karnataka has already been completed. Although the second-round seat allotment was announced on September 10, students have not yet reported to their colleges. In this context, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has granted permission for an additional 400 seats in seven medical colleges in Karnataka. Officials have decided to include these new seats in the second round. Because of this, students who have already received a second-round allotment, as well as those who chose Option-2 for upgradation, have been given the opportunity to rearrange their web options.
**Web Options Rearrangement:**
Students who wish to use this facility can edit their web options from 11:00 AM on September 17 to 5:30 PM on September 18. This opportunity applies only to students who chose Option-2 after the first round and paid the Rs. 1 lakh fee. Students who previously secured a seat in engineering counseling and had their fee adjusted will have to pay Rs. 1 lakh again to change their medical options. Similarly, students who secured a seat in Ayush courses and want to change their web options for MBBS seats also have this opportunity.
**Face Recognition for Login:**
To log in to the Karnataka counseling web page, students now need to complete face recognition along with their CET number. During the login process, the student's face will be scanned. If face recognition is not possible, the student's photo can be scanned via a webcam to log in. Officials have advised students with any doubts to check the official website or consult with experts.
