New Delhi, September 15: In today’s AI era, it has become difficult to differentiate which photo is real and which is AI-generated, which video is original and which is fake. As a result, the spread of misinformation is increasing rapidly. To tackle this issue, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Communications and IT has made key recommendations.
It suggested that a license must be mandatory for AI content creators, and strict action should be taken against those who create content without a license and spread fake news. The panel also recommended that all AI-generated photos, videos, and news articles must carry a clear tag stating *"AI Generated."*
The committee, headed by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, recently submitted its report to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. For these recommendations to come into effect, the central government will need to enact a new law. ⚖️✅
