ఫ్లయింగ్‌ బ్రాంచ్‌: ఈ విభాగానికి దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవాలనుకునే అభ్యర్థులు ఇంటర్‌/10+2లో మ్యాథ్స్, ఫిజిక్స్‌ చదివి ఉండి.. గుర్తింపు పొందిన విశ్వవిద్యాలయం నుంచి కనీసం 60శాతం మార్కులతో డిగ్రీ (ఏదేని గ్రూప్‌) ఉత్తీర్ణత సాధించాలి. లేదా కనీసం 60శాతం మార్కులతో బీఈ/బీటెక్‌ ఉత్తీర్ణులవ్వాలి. డిగ్రీ ఫైనల్‌ ఇయర్‌ విద్యార్థులు కూడా దరఖాస్తుకు అర్హులే. వయసు: జూలై 01, 2022 నాటికి 20 నుంచి 24 ఏళ్ల మధ్య ఉండాలి. ఎత్తు: కనీసం 162.5సెంటీమీటర్లు ఉండాలి. ఎలాంటి కంటి సమస్యలు ఉండరాదు.

గ్రౌండ్‌ డ్యూటీ(టెక్నికల్‌): ఈ విభాగానికి దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవాలనుకునే అభ్యర్థులు ఏరోనాటికల్‌ ఇంజనీరింగ్‌(ఎలక్ట్రానిక్స్‌/మెకానికల్‌) వి భాగాల్లో లేదా అనుబంధ ఇంజనీరింగ్‌ బ్రాంచ్‌ల్లో కనీసం 60 శాతం మార్కులతో బీఈ/బీటెక్‌ ఉత్తీర్ణులవ్వాలి. 10+2 స్థాయిలో ఫిజిక్, మ్యాథమెటిక్స్‌లో కనీసం 60శాతం మార్కులతో ఉత్తీర్ణత ఉండాలి. ఫైనల్‌ ఇయర్‌ విద్యార్థులు కూడా దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవచ్చు. వయసు: 20 నుంచి 26 ఏళ్ల మధ్య ఉండాలి.

గ్రౌండ్‌ డ్యూటీ(నాన్‌ టెక్నికల్‌): నాన్‌ టెక్నికల్‌కు సంబంధించి అడ్మినిస్ట్రేషన్, లాజిస్టిక్స్, అకౌంట్స్‌ విభాగాలున్నాయి. అడ్మినిస్ట్రేషన్, లాజిస్టిక్స్‌ విభాగాలకు కనీసం 60 శాతం మార్కులతో ఏదైనా డిగ్రీ పూర్తి చేసుండాలి. అకౌంట్స్‌ విభాగానికి సంబంధించి 60 శాతం మార్కులతో బీకాం ఉత్తీర్ణులవ్వాలి. ఫైనల్‌ ఇయర్‌ విద్యార్థులు కూడా దరఖాస్తుకు అర్హులే. వయసు: 26–26ఏళ్ల మధ్యలో ఉండాలి.

ఎంపిక విధానం..
ఆయా పోస్టులను అనుసరించి ఆన్‌లైన్‌ పరీక్ష, ఇంజనీరింగ్‌ నాలెడ్జ్‌ టెస్ట్, పైలెట్‌ అప్టిట్యూడ్‌ బ్యాటరీ టెస్ట్, ఇంటర్వూ్య, మెడికల్, ఫిజికల్‌ టెస్ట్‌లను నిర్వహించి.. తుది ఎంపిక చేస్తారు. ఇలా ఎంపికైన అభ్యర్థులకు ఉచిత శిక్షణతోపాటు, ఉన్నతస్థాయి హోదాతో కూడిన ఉద్యోగం సొంతమవుతుంది.

పరీక్ష ఇలా..
బ్రాంచ్‌ ఏదైనా ఏఎఫ్‌క్యాట్‌ పరీక్షను ఉమ్మడిగానే నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ పరీక్ష ఆన్‌లైన్‌ విధానంలో జరుగుతుంది. 300 మార్కులకుగాను 100 ప్రశ్నలుంటాయి. పరీక్ష సమయం 2 గంటలు.

టెక్నికల్‌ బ్రాంచ్‌కు దరఖాస్తు చేసుకున్నవారికి ఇంజనీరింగ్‌ నాలెడ్జ్‌ టెస్ట్‌(ఈకేటీ) నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఇది మొత్తం 50 ప్రశ్నలకుగాను 150 మార్కులకు 45 నిమిషాలపాటు జరుగుతుంది.

ఏఎఫ్‌ఎస్‌బీ ఇంటర్వూ..
రాత పరీక్షల్లో ఉత్తీర్ణత సాధించిన అభ్యర్థులను ఎయిర్‌ఫోర్స్‌ సెలక్షన్‌ బోర్డ్‌ (ఏఎఫ్‌ఎస్‌బీ) ఇంటర్వూ్యలకు పిలుస్తుంది. ఇది రెండు స్టేజ్‌ల్లో(స్టేజ్‌–1, 2) ఉంటుంది. స్టేజ్‌–1లో అర్హత సాధించిన వారు స్టేజ్‌–2కి వెళ్తారు. ఆ తర్వాత పర్సనల్‌ ఇంటర్వూ్య జరుగుతుంది. ఈ దశలన్నీ విజయవంతంగా పూర్తిచేసుకున్న వారికి మెడికల్‌ టెస్టులు నిర్వహిస్తారు. అనంతరం మెరిట్‌ప్రాతిపదికన శిక్షణకు ఎంపిక చేస్తారు.

ఎంపికైన ఫ్లయింగ్, టెక్నికల్‌ బ్రాంచ్‌లకు చెందిన అభ్యర్థులకు 74 వారాల పాటు; గ్రౌండ్‌ డ్యూటీకి ఎంపికైన వారికి 52 వారాలపాటు ఉచిత ఎయిర్‌ఫోర్స్‌ ట్రైనింగ్‌ ఇస్తారు. శిక్షణలో అభ్యర్థులు చూపిన ప్రతిభ ఆధారంగా ఫైటర్‌ పైలెట్, ట్రాన్స్‌పోర్ట్‌ పైలెట్, హెలికాప్టర్‌ పైలెట్‌గా.. ఆయా విభాగాల్లో ఇంటర్నల్‌ శిక్షణ ఇస్తారు.

స్టైఫండ్‌..
శిక్షణకు ఎంపికైన అభ్యర్థులకు నెలకు రూ.56,100 సై్టఫండ్‌గా చెల్లిస్తారు. విజయవంతంగా ట్రైనింగ్‌ పూర్తిచేసుకొని ఉద్యోగంలో చేరిన వారికి రూ.56,100 ప్రారంభ వేతనం లభిస్తుంది. దీంతోపాటు డీఏ, హెచ్‌ఆర్‌ఎ సహా వివిధ రకాల అలవెన్సులు, సౌకర్యాలు లభిస్తాయి.

న్యూమరికల్‌ ఎబిలిటీ: ఈ విభాగంలో ప్రశ్నలు పదోతరగతి స్థాయిలో ఉంటాయి. మిగిలిన విభాగాల్లోని ప్రశ్నలు మాత్రం డిగ్రీ స్థాయిలో అడుగుతారు. ముఖ్యంగా డెసిమల్‌ ఫ్రాక్షన్స్, టైమ్‌ అండ్‌ వర్క్, యావరేజెస్, ప్రాఫిట్‌ అండ్‌ లాస్, పర్సెంటేజెస్, రేషియో అండ్‌ ప్రపోర్షన్, సింపుల్‌ ఇంట్రస్ట్, టైమ్‌ అండ్‌ డిస్టెన్స్‌ నుంచి ప్రశ్నలు ఎదురవుతాయి.

రీజనింగ్‌ అండ్‌ మిలటరీ అప్టిట్యూడ్‌: వెర్బల్‌ స్కిల్స్, స్పేషియల్‌ ఎబిలిటీ(మెంటల్‌ ఎబిలిటీ) నుంచి ప్రశ్నలు వస్తాయి.

ఏఎఫ్‌క్యాట్‌ పరీక్షకు సన్నద్ధమయ్యే వారు మూడు దశల ఎంపిక ప్రక్రియపై సమగ్ర అవగాహన పెంచుకోవాలి. సిలబస్,ప్రశ్నలు అడిగే విధానం, టెక్నికల్, నాన్‌టెక్నికల్‌ పరీక్షల్లో వ్యత్యాసం, ఇంటర్వూ్య వంటి వాటి గురించి తెలుసుకోవాలి.

స్వీయ ప్రణాళిక, పక్కా వ్యూహాంతో ప్రిపరేషన్‌ సాగించాలి. ఇందుకోసం సబ్జెక్ట్‌ వారీగా నిర్ణిష్ట టైమ్‌ టెబుల్‌ను సిద్ధం చేసుకోవాలి. చదవడం పూర్తిచేసిన అంశాలను రివిజన్‌ చేయాలి.

జనరల్‌ నాలెడ్జ్‌ అండ్‌ కరెంట్‌ అఫైర్స్‌ కోసం ఎక్కువగా దినపత్రికలను చదవడం మేలు చేస్తుంది. చదువుతున్నప్పుడే ముఖ్యమైన అంశాలతో నోట్స్‌ రాసుకోవాలి.

వీలైనన్నీ ఎక్కువ మాక్‌ టెస్టులను, ప్రాక్టీస్‌ టెస్టులను రాయడం మంచిది. దీనివల్ల నిర్ణీత సమయంలో పరీక్షను పూర్తి చేయడం అలవాటవుతుంది. అంతేకాకుండా పరీక్షలో చేస్తున్న పొరపాట్లను గుర్తించి.. అధిగమించేందుకు అవకాశం ఉంటుంది.
