Applications are invited for filling vacant seats in classes 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 at the Tribal Boys Gurukulam School located in Gollaladhoddi (Sevaghad), Guttipalli Mandal. District Tribal Welfare Officer Ramajnaneyulu announced that applications should be submitted by April 4. According to the announcement, for the academic year 2025-26, there are 80 vacant seats for class 5. Under the ST backlog, there are 49 seats available in class 6, 30 seats in class 7, 19 seats in class 8, and 6 seats in class 9.

The seat allocation will be as follows:

• 78% of seats are reserved for ST candidates

• 12% for SC candidates

• 5% for BC candidates

• 2% for OC candidates

• 3% for AEQ (Agency Employees quota).

Municipal Chairman Ramesh has instructed officials to take necessary actions to ensure that 15 million liters of water are supplied daily from the Gollapalli drinking water scheme. On Wednesday, he, along with officials, inspected the water purification plant located near Kotnuru in the town. He directed them to clean all the filter beds and ensure they are functioning properly. The officials also informed that repairs are being made to motors and pumps.
In the meeting, Ramesh noted that the town's water supply issue is growing day by day and warned that, without proper actions, it will be difficult to manage the wards. Councillors brought this issue to the Chairman’s and Commissioner’s attention. The Chairman held a meeting with the officials and councillors to discuss the water crisis. Complaints were raised by several councillors regarding the indifferent behavior of lower-level staff.
To resolve the issue permanently, Municipal Commissioner Srinivasulu and Engineer Mohan shared that a new pipeline project costing ₹120 crore is in the planning stage with the cooperation of MLA Balakrishna.

Additionally, residents of Bhagyangar Colony requested the Municipal Chairman to take steps for setting up a transformer. During his tour of 35 wards on Wednesday, the Chairman assured the residents that all necessary amenities would be provided, addressing their concerns about the lack of basic infrastructure.

Anantha Welfare, News Today: The Executive Officer of the Minority Corporation, Subrahmanyam, announced that applications are invited for loans under the Prime Minister Employment Generation Scheme (PMEGP) for minorities. He mentioned that a project can be set up with a maximum of ₹50 lakhs for the manufacturing sector and ₹20 lakhs for the services sector. Based on the category of beneficiaries, the central government will provide a loan subsidy ranging from 15% to 35% of the project value. For the general category, it will be 10%, and for special categories like SC, ST, OBC, minorities, women, transgender individuals, ex-servicemen, and persons with disabilities, a subsidy of 5% will be provided from any bank. Hindupur, Lepakshi, News Today: Tanvi, a student from Lepakshi KGBV, expressed her desire to write the 10th-grade exams and achieve good marks. However, fate had other plans as she slipped and fell from the stairs on Tuesday, injuring her left hand and back. She was immediately taken to a private hospital in Hindupur for medical attention, where doctors advised a month’s rest. Despite the injury, Tanvi was determined to attend the upcoming exam and insisted on writing her Physics exam on Wednesday.

The school's special officer, Neelima, spoke to the district education officer and arranged for a helper. Teachers, along with the helper, brought Tanvi to the Lepakshi Oriental Senior Secondary School exam center in an ambulance.

While lying on a stretcher, Tanvi continued to answer the questions, and the helper assisted her in writing the exam. During the exam, Tanvi experienced stomach pain, and medical staff promptly gave her medication and ensured she could continue the test. Everyone was impressed with her determination. After the exam, she was taken back to Hindupur hospital in the ambulance for further medical care.
